International scientific and practical conference
On May 2-4, 2018, an international scientific and practical conference "The Current State and Prospects of Tourism Development" was held at Chernivtsi Institute of Trade and Economics. The urgency of the topic was confirmed by the participation of 138 representatives of 27 higher education institutions of 17 cities of Ukraine (Kyiv, Kharkiv, Odessa, Lviv, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, Poltava, Rubizhne, Ivano-Frankivsk, Khmelnytskyi, Uman, Vinnytsia, Drohobych, Uzhhorod, Ternopil, Severodonetsk, Chernivtsi).
The conference was attended by scientists from abroad: Romania, the Republic of Moldova, Armenia, Morocco and Bulgaria. Delegation from Stefan cel Mare University in Suceava was represented by five representatives. It was headed by a regular guest - Dean of the Faculty of Economic Sciences and Public Administration of Suceava University, Professor Carmen Nastace. This year delegation from Romania consisted of Associate Professors Mihai Popescu Bogdan Cocieru we joined Dr. Latifa Fahsis (Casablanca, Morocco) and postgraduate student Tatevik Vardanyan (Yerevan, Armenia). The delegation of Romanian practitioners was headed by Professor IoanItco, representative of the Ministry of Tourism of Romania (Kimpolung).
The opening of the conference on May 2 began with the greetings of Tetiana Orekhovska, Director of CHITE KNUTE, and Deputy Director on Scientific, Methodological and International Relations, Doctor of Economics, Prof. Vasyl Kyfiak. Guests were greeted by the representatives of the city council: the head of the Chernivtsi Regional State Administration Oleksandr Fishchuk, the chairman of the Chernivtsi Regional Council Ivan Muntian, and the Chernivtsi City Mayor Oleksii Kaspruk.
The honorable doctors of science spoke at the plenary session: Tetiana Tkachenko, Dariia Basiuk (Kiev), Sergei Mehovich (Kharkiv), Victoria Tkach (Dnipro), Kseniia Kovtunenko (Odessa), Tetyana Borisova (Ternopil).
The work of the sections was extremely intense. The scientists presented their reports, shared best practices, discussed the prospects for tourism development, and actively exchanged contact data for further cooperation.
On May 3-4, the conference was held at Stefan cel Mare University inSuceava (Romania), where the final plenary session and summing up of the conference took place.
In addition, the participants of the conference were able to take part in the international symposium "Assessment of Internal Education: Challenges and Prospects" held by Stefan cel Mare University in Suceava in cooperation with the University of Casablanca (Morocco). The pro-rector of the University of Suceava Mircea Diakonu, and Dean Carmen Nastace have made welcoming speeches. Among the speakers were members of our delegation - Professor of the university named after A. Nobel (Dnipro) SvitlanaKozhushko and Professor of Chernivtsi Institute of Trade and Economics of KNUTE (Chernivtsi) Vasyl Kyfiak. Interesting presentation were presented by Adel Fart, Sayid Mmadba and Zoeal Mansouri from Morocco.
After summing up the conference, adopting the resolution, all participants have received certificates of international internship.
Tourist infrastructure of Suceavaregion has left a pleasant experience for all guests and will be remembered for a long time.
