Visit of the members of Scientific Society of Young Scientists
and students to the Stefan cel Mare university

Within the framework of the chairmanship of the Chernivtsi region in the Euro region «Upper Prut» and in accordance with the plans of Chernivtsi Institute of Trade and Economics of Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics a visit of members of the Scientific Society of Young Scientists and Students to "Stefan cel Mare" University (Suceava, Romania). This visit was implemented under the leadership of the Deputy Director on scientific, methodological and international affairs, Doctor of economics, Professor Vasyl Kyfiak. From the faculty members, the co-chairman of the scientific society of young scientists and students, Senior Lecturer of the Department of economic cybernetics and international relations Korop Bogdana, Head of the Department of technology and organization of restaurant business, Associate Professor Tetiana Nezveshchuk-Kogut, Deputy Head of the Department of Finance, Banking and Entrepreneurship, Ph.D., associate professor Victoria Vudvud.
Among the foreign partner universities of our institute, the most closely cooperation is with University in Suceava by development of traditional scientific-practical conferences, round tables, meetings, study visits and student exchanges.
Within the framework of the visit, the Deputy Director on Scientific, Methodological and International Affairs, Doctor of Economics, Professor Vasyl Kifiak, and the Vice-Rector of the University of Suceava, Professor Stefan Purich had a fruitful meeting. The result of the meeting was the discussion and approval of a joint research plan for the 2018/2019 academic year, which involves conducting various academic activities for teaching staff, joint implementation of scientific projects, student exchanges within the Erasmus + program, internships and participation in summer school. Professor Carmen Nastase, Dean of the Faculty of Economics of Suceava University, invited students of CHITE KNUTE to take part in the Summer School of Suceava University. In addition, Olga Shchavinska, deputy co-chairman of the Scientific Society of Young Scientists and Students of CHITE KNUTE, a student of the 4th year of the specialty «Finance, Banking and Insurance», will have an internship at Suceava University in January-February 2019.
Taking into account the cross-border status of our regions, as well as cooperation within the Euro region «Upper Prut», the importance of participating in joint scientific projects in this direction was emphasized by Professor Alexander Nedelia. Cooperation in the Upper Prut Euro region should be backed up by strong scientific cooperation, since only the synergy of science, government and business can increase the competitiveness of our regions. In this direction Stefan cel Mare University in Suceava and Chernivtsi Institute of Trade and Economics are ready to make their efforts and their intellectual resources. Thus, in April 2019, a joint round table entitled «Strengthening the role of the Upper Prut Euro region in convergence of cross-border regions" will be held, with the participation of scientists, representatives of state authorities and practitioners from cross-border regions of Chernivtsi and Suceava. Professor Alexandru Nedelia has called for participation in the joint filling of Internet resources on the tourist potential of Bukovina, as tourism remains one of the strategic directions of development both in Suceava district and in Chernivtsi region.
In their turn, students of CHITE KNUTE had an opportunity to communicate with the students of Suceava University, to learn about their student weekdays, and their vision for implementing in a professional manner.
The transboundary nature of the meeting was manifested in the number of languages that were communicated. In addition to traditional English for such visits, the lively discussions in Romanian and Ukrainian lasted for a long time. Romanian students of our institute had an opportunity to communicate with students of Suceava University in their native language. For Ukrainian-speaking students of Suceava University, such meeting was also a good opportunity to communicate in Ukrainian.
Bukovina has always been famous for its multiculturalism and multilingualism, and this meeting once again reinforced our aspirations for the development of cross-border education. For our region, specialists in cross-border cooperation, international economic relations with knowledge of regional languages are today one of the most demanded on the market. Therefore, the participation of students of Chernivtsi Institute of Trade and Economics of KNUTE in such events reinforces the practical and qualitative component of the training of specialists in such specialties as «Economics (International Economics)» and «International Business».
