Study visit to Warsaw University
During May 26-29, 2019, a study visit of the representatives of the Scientific Society of Young Scientists and Students of Chernivtsi Institute of Trade and Economics of KNUTE to the University of Warsaw took place. Students of CHITE KNUTE Arkhipova K. (3rd year, "Economic Cybernetics"), Shaniuk O. (3rd year, "Accounting and Audit"), Kibzii Yu. (1st year, "Accounting and Audit"), O. Gul (1st year of Master degree student, Accounting and Audit) took part in the study visit under the direction of the Candidate of Economic Sciences, Senior lecturer of the Department of Economic Cybernetics and International Economic Relations B. Korop.
The program of the visit was versatile and covered both the acquaintance with the academic environment of Poland, as well as meetings with representatives of the city authorities, visiting the Incubator of the University of Warsaw.
At the Warsaw City Administration, students had the opportunity to chat with the head of the department at the Marketing Office of the city, Ms. Katarzyna Stakun, about making city brand, how the modern city-metropolis is developing, and which interesting initiatives attracts people from all over the world to Warsaw. The head of Smart City Projects, Mr. Marcin Adamski introduced smart city trends and ways to make the city comfortable for its inhabitants with modern technology.
Theoretical part of the visit included attending a lecture by Professor Piorat Dutkevich, Director of Public Administration and Public Policy Center at Carleton University (Canada) under the topic "Regional and Global Development Policy". For our students this was a great opportunity to communicate with Polish students and share their views on the prospects of Ukrainian-Polish cooperation.
The highlight of the trip was the visit to Warsaw University Incubator, which is a place of inspiration, a space for implementing various entrepreneurial ideas of students. In addition to being acquainted with the opportunities of cooperation with the university business incubator, students attended the final presentation of business projects of Polish students. It was interesting to analyze the thematic orientation of ideas, manner of presentation and to vote for the best project. The experience gained will be implemented at the organization Science Festival 2020 at our institute.
The visit to the Library of the Warsaw University, a visit to the Museum of Money at the National Bank of Poland, as well as acquaintance with the tourist attractions of the city: Royal Palace, Lazienki Krolewskie Park, boulevards over the Vistula, gardens near the Royal Palace and others significantly contributed to the study visit.
